The detailed plan for Börjetull, which came into force in 2021, enables housing in combination with expansion of the existing industry. The purpose of the plan is to create an addition of approximately 1,600 apartments in apartment buildings. Nursing homes and space for preschools and a neighborhood park are also included in the detailed plan.

Buildings have subsequently been demolished and extensive clean-up work has been carried out.
